Do you ever feel that the big-screen experience these days is lacking a little je ne sais quoi?
Last month I was lucky enough to attend the latest Secret Cinema event: a screening of Gillo Pontecorvo’s The Battle of Algiers. The venue was the Old Vic Tunnels — complete with guns, burkhas and mocked-up torture scenes. I managed to avoid a lengthy interrogation but others were not so lucky!
